Oswego County Community Foundation Receives $50,000 Pledge
Fulton Savings Bank recently pledged a $50,000 commitment to the Oswego County Community Foundation. This gift, which will be fulfilled over 5 years, will help the Foundation reach its endowment fundraising goal of $500,000.
“We sincerely appreciate Fulton Savings’ support and confidence in the Oswego County Community Foundation,” said Nancy Bellow, Foundation Council Chair. “We’re thrilled to be making strides towards our endowment goal.”
The bank has eight operating branches within the Oswego and Onondaga county area, and takes pride in building trusted financial means for the generations of these counties.
“On behalf of the Fulton Savings Bank family it is our pleasure to support the Oswego County Community Foundation,” said Michael J. Pollock, President & CEO of Fulton Savings Bank. “This donation is an investment in the future of our community.”
The Oswego County Community Foundation, a geographically specific endowment, provides a source of permanent charitable dollars for nonprofits serving residents of Oswego County. Once the initial fundraising goal of $500,000 is met, the Foundation will award grants to local nonprofit organizations with programs ranging broadly from arts and culture, environment and animal welfare, education, human services, health and civic affairs.
“These funds plant a seed that will grow, pay dividends for years to come and will support many meaningful community endeavors,” said Pollock. “Hopefully our investment will entice other organizations and businesses to join in on the ground floor of this worthwhile initiative.”
