PULASKI FUND AWARDS $10,200 IN LOCAL GRANTS

February 5, 2014 (Pulaski, NY) – The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund awarded $10,200 to six organizations that serve the Pulaski area.

Farnham Family Services received $2,500 to support a part time counselor at Pulaski High School responsible for addressing substance abuse and at-risk indicators.

Half-Shire Historical Society received $3,000 for insulation and repairs to the back wall in the main room of the Historical Center.

Move Along received $500 to conduct two adaptive sport demonstrations in wheelchair basketball, sled hockey and cycling at Pulaski Schools.

Preservation Revitalization of Pulaski received $2,500 to install additional welcome signs for the Village.

Pulaski Congregational Church received $500 to support the 2014 Rhea LaVeck Memorial Concert Series.

Pulaski Historical Society received $1,200 to furnish the center with tables and chairs for regular public meetings.

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund, a component fund of the Central New York Community Foundation, is a charitable endowment that exists to ensure that the citizens of the Pulaski area have a means of supporting the nonprofit services and resources that are so important to the vitality of a community.

The Greater Pulaski Community Fund

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations addressing community needs in the village of Pulaski and the town of Richland in Oswego County. The Fund’s grantmaking supports many important community projects and programs, including programs in education, health, social services, the arts, and civic concerns, as well as preservation of historic resources. The fund has distributed over $200,000 in grants since its inception.
