Staff Advancement Initiative Now Accepting Applications
March 17, 2008 (Syracuse, NY) – The Central New York Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the Staff Advancement Initiative. Mini-grants from the Community Foundation’s Staff Advancement Initiative support front-line staff at not-for-profit human service agencies by enabling them to attend professional seminars and training opportunities not covered by operating budgets. Training like this increases front-line human service workers’ potential for career advancement by investing in their skills and competencies and enhances the capacity of the organizations they serve. Development opportunities can vary from one-day skill-building courses to multi-day career-enhancing seminars outside New York State.
