2008 Student Scholarships Available

(Syracuse, NY) – The Central New York Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the following scholarships for 2008:

Frederick K. Kilian Memorial Scholarship
The Frederick K. Kilian Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female Onondaga County high school senior. The applicant will have already been accepted into an accredited institution of higher education pursuing a Bachelor’s program in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, science or education. These scholarships may be renewable annually for up to four years (five for engineering only). The application deadline for this scholarship is May 5, 2008.

2008 Aurelia Crespo/Carlos Lavessari Latino Americano Scholarship
A wonderful scholarship opportunity is available to Onondaga County students of Latino descent! The 2008 Aurelia Crespo/Carolos Lavezzari Latino Americano Scholarship can help you in your pursuit of post-secondary studies at a college, university or technical school. The application deadline for this scholarship is May 11, 2008.

2008 Christine McHugh Memorial Scholarship
The McHugh Memorial Scholarship provides an opportunity for active Emergency Medical Service providers who:

  • Is graduating from a high school in Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, Oswego or Tompkins counties (CNY Regional Emergency Medical Services area) or Broome, Chenango or Tioga counties (Susquehanna Regional Emergency Medical Services area) or
  • Is currently attending an institution of higher education within one of these services areas.
  • Is in good academic standing
  • Has a proven commitment to emergency medical service work and ethos

The application deadline for this scholarship is May 15, 2008.
